Q1: What prompted you to start your own business?

I’d been running a couple of franchises since my first born so I knew working for myself was the right fit for me and my family. But I needed to grow, I needed to help other people grow and I needed the freedom to do it in a way that I could use all of skills and expertise, and have as much fun as I wanted with the job without the 'work' bit getting in the way. 

Q2: Tell us a bit about what you do

I’ve been working with some clients as a VA, supporting them in their businesses with social media management, website updates, newsletter creation and general marketing tasks. More recently I’ve been supporting successful small businesses grow by improving their business and sales procedures, streamlining tasks and introducing new software packages. I’ve created a number of packages for new clients to support them creating social media strategies from scratch, including a Pinterest specific package for businesses wanting to increase their audience and revenue on this platform.

I’m also quite old school and love chatting on the phone, or anyone local to Bournemouth, come and grab a cuppa from my fabulous beach hut office. 

Q4: And finally, why do you like being a member of The Cocoon

I love feeling part of a supportive network and it’s such a wide spectrum of different industries and people. I’m always inspired after any session I attend. I’m always challenged by the trainings I watch and I’m constantly motivated by seeing other Cocooners achieving great things.
